"Grenade" - waiting for him to pull the pin
"Sensor light" - only works if someone walks past
"Blister" - appears when the hard work is done
    "Showbag" - full of ****
"Seaweed" - floats around all day and stinks
"Lantern" - not very bright, and has to be carried
"Penguin" - always on the ice
"Deck chair" - always folds under pressure
"G-spot" - you can never find him
"2-stroke" - hard to get started, and always smokes
    "Morphine" - slow moving dope
    "Bushranger" - holds everyone up

PS had to remove a couple of nicknames to keep up with the G rating

We used "opium" instead of morphine, but it's the same... Hadn't heard of sensor light before

Worked with a bloke we called SOC. Silly Old ****

He used to introduce himself as SOC. Had lost his licence a number of times for DUI, I found him up the back of the yard one day having a beer while taking the empties out of the cab of his truck. I just shook my head and said "no wonder they call you SOC".

Next time he got caught doing this was by the boss, instant dismissal.

We used to send the first year to the hardware to buy a left handed screwdriver

Part of their initiation into the trade...

Yep, had forgotten that one. Ta. Much better than having had one's balls black shoe polished.

Polish was a piece of cake it was the vigorous polishing that made it unpopular as well as being locked in the refrigerant cylinder decanting shed when some bastard turned on the So2.

On reflection that could have had disastrous results as no body was ever asked if they were Asthmatic.
