I guess if it was a Snow Covered Plain they would, cuppa. Think Russian Steppes. Although that was yesterday, not sure about today the way the world is melting.

Climate change is causing more extreme winters in the winery climes and more extreme summers in the summery climes. I think it will be a long long time before there's a snow free winter on the Steppes.
