"Look me`re, no hands." I bet the patient died of heart failure whilst en route.

Reminds me of the Queen's Guard @ Windsor Castle as the detail marches along. Snr NCO. "MOOOOOOOVE OUT OF THE WAY" to the rubber neckers.

Or it may have been "MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEEN'S GUARD" shouted very loudly.

Stubby cooler as intake elbow and what looks like a plastic spice jar (from iga) with some sort of bleed screw attached.
My old XF had a nescafe coffee jar with a hole drilled in the lid as a radiator overflow but at least it was glass.....

Ah the memories! The stubby cooler is a sleeve over a steel tube, the steel tube has holes in it, sealed by the stubby holder. When you get an LPG backfire, the stubby holder allows the force to be released out through the holes, reducing the explosive damage to the flapper AFM. Thanks for asking.
Can't help you with the honey jar I'm afraid.

Looking for tiles after a kitchen revamp. Somehow I do not think I'd like to look at this first thing in the morning.

Valves or seats? Was commonly used on motors with cast iron heads to protect the seats, but the heads on that would be alloy with stellite (or similar) inserts.

Were the valves made out of cheese?

From all reports, yes, on those engines.
We also used Flash lube on our Mitsy LPG work vans years ago as well, for the same reason.

Tojo's were always no worries,no Flash Lube,300,000Km on LPG,no issues.

I had a chance meet with the guy who put the 350 in my pos and put it on gas.

Worked out that the reco crate motor has done 700k km 99% on gas. Yes he said it had modded 'gas heads'.

It's going to get recoed again next year, it'll be interesting to see (and be replicated) exactly how the seats and valves were done.

Still runs fine.............just want to sharpen it up.
