    On the topic of accidents. Makes you wonder what goes thru some people's heads in some workplaces- especially those places where there is little to no safety culture and a seemingly endless supply of workers to step up...
    Stay safe out there chaps.

    While not graphic, I'd guess it resulted in some broken legs, a sore head and a burn or two

    I think the Griffon-engined Spits were the versions with contra-rotating props. They could then make the prop diameter smaller and the rudder didn't have to be ginormous to accept the massive horsepower on offer. Apparently they also felt a lot different to fly than regular Spitfires.
