						As V8Ian indicates, the inner wheel is held on by the studs and would have kept the axle stable. If the truck was lightly loaded the outer wheel would flop about until the tyre had very little load on it. In that state it wouldn't put too much stress on the remainder of the nuts.
Was hoping just the video would appear and not have to go through all the clicks.
Having been over the falls so many timesI found it fascinating to see what it looks like from underwater.
