    Heck, I did.
Still say it's among the best two cars I've ever owned.

I have one of each. The D2 is more sophisticated ( if such a term can apply to a real LR ), but the D1 is far more "likeable" IMO.

For those of you who know Old Bathurst Rd going up out of Emu Plains, this happened last week:

    Old-Bathurst-Road.jpg

Council wants fines for heavy vehicles illegally using this road to increase tenfold

For those who don't know it, look at this Google map. It has several very, very tight corners.

Considering a concrete truck is probably delivering within the shire, how do the council propose to develop and upgrade the shire? Deliver concrete by drone? There doesn't appear to be a great deal of viable options for vehicles to get to Blaxland.

Still , yeah, probably better off in the Disco. But without that bank it would have been flat.
15 minutes from me. these are babies, but they would still weigh hundreds of tonnes. With one of the big ones I'm not sure you'd be safe in an M1A1 main battle tank.

Years ago I was driving in convoy on a VicHigh trip a few months after one of the wildfires (2003 I think) and had a mountain ash (not a monster one but big enough) come down between two of our vehicles. Fortunately we weren't travelling fast and were able to stop.
Chainsaws got to work real fast and we got out of the area very quickly.

Bugger all. I live at Emu Plains and if I go to Blaxland, I’ll usually go via the GWH.
