Just imagine how many Millions of $ is just sitting there,at the servo.

My father had a project old Bentley years ago, that is 60's,the seat was broken, they used to sit on an old fruit crate bolted to the floor, and race around the farms.

He gave it away,in those days they were not worth a lot.

    The Jag was his brothers.

We still have the Bently drivers emblem on the front of the Series 1,its been there since then.

Here is the only pic of it we have.

Don't you wish you had the Bentley today, eh? Our old family 1924 FIAT 501 tourer went through that. After I salvaged bits off of her a bloke from the Vintage car contacted me to buy it. I had contacted his club 6 months before & had no takers.Hard luck mate your Sec. should have let you know

But I was able to give another member the tool roll with Special Tools, Operators Handbook & Parts List Book. We were both pleased, me that it went to a good home & him, that he obtained those bits

He called around a couple of months later & took me for a drive. All those familiar sounds of Engine & gearbox working together were lovely to hear even though they weren't from our car.

As it happened the bloke that took the body, Chassis etc built her into a Trailer which was permitted back then.

An example of how easy she was to work on. Removing rear diff & solid rod tailshaft. Remove diff flange bolts. Turn flange 90* to the right & extract both. Replacing is the reverse etc etc etc. of removal. There was a sort of keyed slot in the flange which mated to one in the diff housing. All Aluminium castings.

I had a local Blacksmith make up a Jemmy bar with the Tailshaft. Hit it with a spanner & it rings like buggery.

My neighbour has a black Labrador that ate a sock recently. He is damn glad they had pet insurance. $5,000 vet bills. He told me they split her open like a fish. Dog is still happy and feather brained.
