It wasn't me!

Recent erosion has uncovered four buttresses at Fort Cowan, on Moreton Island. There is no reference to them on the 'Fort Cowan Plan', which I have. Site is roughly marked by the match head.

This has to appeal to anyone with a "smart" phone and an inner geek. I have downloaded the app and it's nuts.

It is entirely possible that they are not exactly where they were built. The whole fort was built on sand. And sand moves, especially when it is very close to a shoreline.

Yes, JD, but there is nothing on the original plan, within coo-ee of the present location. I'm fairly confident that there was no construction, post war.

Had a bit of a look around. Heck, I knew my phone had some stuff, but this staggered me. But my iPhone 13 Pro doesn't have a compatible light sensor.

The GPS alone is worth it, and the app is free, so why not? And have you tried the Sonar???? ffs
