The sooner the general public accepts the notion that when you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes, the sooner we'll have greater public support for police to do their jobs in times like this. Rather than turn and blame the cops who's hands are tied by ****ty legislation that the people demanded, let them deal proactively with situations like this (I've seen the video of him at the intersection, and I can tell you I'd have introduced him to my bullbar exceptionally quickly in such a situation), the better off we will be a society. People to wake up and realise the ugly truth; there ARE evil people in the world who WILL do evil things, and they cannot be cured with a hug. For every low life using their situation as an excuse, there's 50 others who get over it and make something positive of their life.
