Good suburbs within 40mins of Brisbane Airport

As the title says, any recommendations?
We are considering a move from Central Oz and need to be within approximately 40mins from the airport.

Suggestions /recommendations and why please if you have some thoughts.
We are not wealthy elite types. Being from the NT moving east may be hard work.
    Interested in your opinions.

    thanks

Good suburbs within 40mins of Brisbane Airport

    Suggestions will be with Bias......

40min peak hour or 40min out of peak??

    Buying or renting......??

We are happy with Bracken Ridge, good access to the freeway, short hop to Sandgate Brighton waterfront. Used to live in Brighton, older suburb but in a little pocket.

Oh and the roads gelding north are being upgraded....which may help and no tolls to get to airport.

My work has a site near the airport and I doing a bit of flying for work.

Good question, we thought renting for 6 months or so would be smart and then purchase when we get a better "feel" for the place
Depending on the roster will put me in peak hr sometimes and not others.
Im thinking 40 mins ish as the average.

Personal bias , Nundah. You could cycle to the airport in about 30 min. ,it is close to the highways and with all the new units the rentals are pretty competitive

With the 2 tunnels you can be in western corridor as far out as Karana Downs and Mount Crosby and in medium traffic still get to the airport in 40 mins. Cheers

I think you should rent nearish to the Airport and look around for a more permanent place to live, There are heaps of townhouses within 10 mins of the airport. As said above if you can afford the tolls in the tunnels/gateway you can live just about anywhere in Brisbane. We are 30 mins from the airport if the traffic isn't too bad and we live halfway to the Gold Coast in a rural setting.
