Hi Pop058,
I am happy with the quality of the components of the shed. I am happy with the quality of the work done by the builder - he's a nice guy. But as a customer, my frustrations purely lie in the time it's taking.
As I have previously said - no problem that they can't work in the rain, that makes perfect sense.. Apart from OHS issues, damage to your tools - let's be honest, who wants to work in the rain? Not this little black duck.
But - the builder lives 15 minutes from me. And he is already 1.5 weeks behind schedule - and he has lost 2 days to rain during that time.
Does he come early? (No - it's light at 7:30, and he usually rocks up between 8:30 - 9:00).
Does he work late? (I suppose that's open to opinion... He always leaves by 3:00pm, not a minute after)
Does he work Saturday or Sunday (No - and I can understand this, it's a choice)
Has he not turned up on rain free days (Yes - he's been on other jobs)
My only gripe is - he (in my eyes, the customer) doesn't seem to be making any effort to catch-up for lost time OR to make the deadlines that he set.. Not deadlines that I set - he set them.
Don't get me wrong (I've been a sub-contractor as well) - he seems to do great work, and know his stuff. And yes, at the end of the day I wouldn't want him rushing things and not doing them correctly.
Personally if it was me - I would work an hour or two extra, to show the customer that I was trying to make up for lost time that was not my fault (rain).. But that's only me.
It's just that I'm excited as all hell - I just want to get into the Shed before the weather turns to mush, and yes, I'm EXCITED!!!

Cheers,
GG.
