That's a great shed. I built one last year but it only houses one Landy.

						Mick88,
Gav bruised the shed - via a scissor lift... It was the last job of the day a few weeks ago, and bang... Ah well - it was an accident and it's gotta get scratched/dented at some point!
The closer I look at the shed, the more scratches I find anyway... At the end of the day, it's only a shed...
Although it's now full of Landy's..

Hi All,
So (for the time being at least) - the shed's now finished...
Yesterday I finished off the remainder of the small jobs (and a few others while I was at it).
First - I built a small boardwalk into the shed. I've noticed that this area can sometime hold a little bit of water, so I made a walkway:

Next - I hired 2 x mini-skips to get rid of all the rubbish that was left over from the build. While I was at it - I also got rid of some other household rubbish. (We don't have "hard rubbish" days here).
As always - I had a little helper throughout the day:

The red skip was 6mtr2 in size - and was stacked with metal (lots of stuff from the shed build, and old home made series bull bar, an old home made classic roof rack, etc...)
The yellow skip was 4mtr2 in size - and for general rubbish - including the concrete that the plumber dug/cut up when installing the down pipes.
At the end of the day - both skips were fairly full..
Next up - I hung all of the garden tools up in the wood shed. These tools have basically been in the wood shed for years - and I had installed the board in preparation over a year ago... Just one more little job completed..

And lastly - using some down pipe left over from the shed build, installed a down pipe at the rear of the wood shed... Nobody will ever see it - but at least it's there now, and the water will flow away from the bottom of the shed... (I've never had a problem with the water coming into the shed anyway, but it's nice to tick another job off the list). You can see it about halfway down the photo - I put a concrete brick at the bottom of the pipe.. I'm standing in the horse paddock looking at the back of the wood shed/hay shed in this pic...

So that's it for the shed build and this thread.
All going well - next weekend I'll start back on the Rangie... (Which I moved into the shed yesterday, using the Grey Ghost to push it... No photo's taken though)
Cheers,
GG.

Hi All,
Traditionally I have used a plastic wheel (attached to a drill) or a wire wheel (attached to a bench grinder) to remove rust from small parts. Using a combination of the above - I've always been happy with the results (although it can be time consuming).
I fired up the new Sand Blaster yesterday to test it..
Here is a before picture of a railway bolt:

Here is an AFTER photo of the same:

The photo doesn't really do it justice - I was amazed at the results of the sand blaster...
It was much quicker and it did a vastly more thorough job in removing the rust.. I will admit that it was a very rusty piece of steel to start off with, but that's why I tested it.
I should have bought a sand blaster cabinet years ago - I would have saved hundreds of hours...
Cheers,
GG
