    Monster.

I was cleaning up the shed today when I came across a massive Spider.
It would seem it is some sort of Australian Tarantula.
Was about the size of my hand without it's legs out.
Very Cool looking, I used an old pool skimmer to put him/her in the bush.

    Hopefully Pic attaches.

I was always taught 'If you want to live and and thrive, let a spider run alive'

I like the critters - big and small and we have heaps that live in the house (although none that big!) - we even name some of them - we have a huge black house spider in the lounge room window that my Son named 'Gorp'. There's a lot of smaller ones that are just know as 'Gorp Jnr'.

I don't even kill the Redbacks that live in my tyre pile, I just move them when I need something.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Everything has a place in life eh Gav. Likewise I don't kill anything unless it's posing a threat to me or mine, like a coastal taipan around the house. Even then if he moves away I wont harm him but if he wants a fight then it's a different story. Pythons and tree snakes are fine with me - we have them often around here. Even have a few of those big whistling spiders or bird eating spiders as well. They look like a funnel web on steroids and supposedly they are related.

I was more stunned than anything as the lady who gave me the spider wanted to cook it for me for lunch. Entree was cricket & cockroach mix.(Cambodia last Dec)
