If its road biased, then perhaps the Michelin Synchrone may be an option. Its the tyre that Michelin tried to replace the XPC with, and is a lot cheaper. The Synchrone is more road bias than the XPC and I would assume (not having run them) they would be quieter judging by the tread pattern. They're also a Silica based tyre for added traction.

I looked at them when I was up for tyres and opted for the Cooper St's as they were the same price, better tread pattern and are actually quitewr than the XPC.

I should probablly not admit it but I am a South Aussie by heritage. Been in WA for 2/3rds of my like though the last 24 years. So I suppose you can call me a groper now. Best state in the country - that'll stir some up.
They have been sitting in my shed for a few years, so time to clear ou the shed a bit and give me some space for my spare trailer RR mags to come in. Must be the Christmas spirit toys and videos yesterday (kids room cleanout), tyres today. Feeling pretty good as I won best Xmas lights in the town this year. Will just have to get some good night time pics.

I have Mickey Thompson Baja MTX's on my Disco and love them, what makes them even better is they were $60 a tyre cheaper than the BFG's, $40 if you dont have a mate who runs a tyre dealership. Would recommend them to anyone. Matt
