Usual Landrover trick - resale has just dropped by $13K - if they can sell them at that price why not launch at that - what about the poor buggers who have paid $72K for a basic diesel disco since release in April and now find that in addition to the usual heavy depreciation they now have to cope with an additional loss of $13K.

Happened to me in the mid 90s when the Disco was dropped from $49995 to $39995 to match the new Jeep. Shot the value of my 12 month old car to pieces at the time.

As a result I would never again buy a new Landrover - not while this sought of thing is going on. Its poor marketing practices by Landrover that damages its resale values - not the comments by yobbo Toyo drivers.

Despite what has been said above - if the Discos were selling in the required numbers the price would not have dropped.

They should have been released at that price!!
