    Bike Rack

    Hi Guys
Been busy with the welder again.
We are going down to Albany for a holiday and we are taking the pushbikes,so I made a rack.

Good to see your bikes fit nicely on your Home made rack.
The ones you buy are good for std bikes, but get the kids a bike like those with the retanglar large frames and the stock bike racks don't work.
    Well done mate!

    Thanks Rovernaut
More time went into design than building. As I have a cargo barrier you cant get into the back with the bike carrier on.The carrier fits into the towhitch,so its a pin and its removed. To fix the bikes on I have a large concreate pipe seal, which is much like a giant occy strap, just unclip the occy stap, pull the bikes off pull the towhitch pin and you can get into the back.
    All up 3 hours work to complete 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

    Hi Matbor
Ive seen similar setups, handy for a single bike possibly 2.
My boy wanted me to put a hinge in the lower section so I could lower the bikes to open the door.An excellent idea I told him but its not that we cart the bikes around all the time,he is a thinker.

Yeah I wouldn't hang more than 2 bikes off the back, don't think it would handle the extra weight well.

Kaymar make a swing away bike rack.... bit expensive though !!
