My mate recently forked over in excess of $50 for a VW Mulitivan last year. He called into a couple of VW dealers without his Multivan, He is trying to find the fuse box in the cabin so he can piggy back a fuse to power his GPS unit.
No one can tell him an answer
The owners manual is very vague on how to access the fuse boxes, in fact it doesn't even list fuse amp ratings. Reading the owners manual it makes an excuse that the booklet was rushed before the model release!.
So he goes to the dealers, they won't let him speak to the service dept, instead they have some guy that reckons he is trained in all there is to know about the brand. So my mate asks him to show him where the fuses are located, The guy points to the dash, My mate asks if he would be kind enough to show him how to gain access to the fuses. The guy refuses, comes up with the excuse that he wont on his demo in case he broke something.

The dealer rep won't demonstrate how
My mate is getting a bit frustrated and getting a bit peeved off. My mate asks this guy, well what happens if he is away and he blows a fuse? The VW rep says call road side assistance""
.He has been to a couple of VW dealerships and they are not very helpful, they take the money for the sale, but after sales service is lacking my mate is finding.

(Later From what my mate and I have ascertained the fuses are behind the drink cooler in the console, it has a flip done door, but the manual shows 2 arrows which if interpreted correctly by us says to pull forward, but there doesn't seem to be any clips to release, we don't want to break anything)
, Google shows nothing
