    Fire near here

    About an hour ago found out there is a fire about 5km north of here. Been ringing around and have no more information, and can't see anything from the top of the hill. Very likely just a single tree on fire - we had lots of lightning and no rain yesterday afternoon, and the wind has come up this afternoon, fortunately SE!

    Our fire dangers are just about over until next summer.
    With the 200+mm we got 4 weeks ago plus follow up showers there is plenty of green grass around.
    The sodbusters are spraying what country they can get on,others have started burning stubbles.Doesnt seem to burn like it normally does,and they were record crops last year.

    Yes, but nothing added to the first report at 1645 yesterday. Soon be light enough to see smoke if there is any visible.
