On New Years Eve, the temp doesn't matter other than that it determines what sort of beverages to consume:

Beer and white wine if it's hot.
Red wine, port and Stones if it's cold.

Oh, and I just discovered why my car reports a brief Transmission Fault at start up. The guys who installed the dual battery system, connected it backwards so that it charges the auxilliary as a priority over the main. Oh well, I suppose it'll mean the beer will stay cold for longer!

    Happ New Year everyone!

    Hi Clarkie
Make sure you get heaps of pics, that bang up the bangers game would be a laugh.A mate had an XD on his 22acre block,we never killed it,in the end somebody bought it for parts.
Heres one to try,get the XD in a wide open space,go backwards flat out,its around 60 or 70ks,then whip the steering around(for best effects turn right)the G forces are wicked as it whips around, when it whips around bang it in drive and spin the opposite way.Takes some practice, but well worth it,for the ride of a life the best position is behind the driver 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I'm confused. We had our Christmas dinner the night before last when the kids were able to get home and when I wasn't working.

Got nothinmg on and plan on doing the same. Will be preparing (read cleaning) my engine components awaiting the new rings, bearings, etc...

Got the engine out of Boxing day, stripped it down as well. Spent the last 3 days cleaning it (with a day off in between) so justneed to finish that off and wait til everything opens again on Mon-Tues I guess.

Anyway, have a great new year all.

    Trav
