When you say 'scoop', do you mean a linkage bucket with manual tip, or a proper backhoe? Post a pic of what you need and I'll do some digging (excuse the pun!!)

Yes it had issues but mainly stupid little things that weren't finished off correctly. It's a 30 hP 4wd and with all those accessories including the import duty was only 14 k.
There are plenty of tractor forums like this one for help.
I can still contact the supplier if I have problems and if I need spare parts.
I have ordered a new starter motor as the original got water inside but it only cost 75 bucks plus delivery to get here in week..
    would I do it again
    Yes!!!!
Anything local was going to be around 25 k for the same as what I got for 14k.....that's a lot of savings

As an Ag dealer, we are constantly picking up the pieces/repairing/trying to find bits for 'cheep' tractors.. I can lay my hands on about 6 that are sat in the corner of yards gathering dust because they've died at approx 1000 hours old. We won't trade them in, and try to avoid anything to do with them.. Sometimes you get lucky with them, but 90% of people don't.

Just to put into perspective 40 x 25 =1000. 40 hrs per week 6 months and 1000 hrs already.

I have had a few problems trying to google what I want because they are called different things depending on who is selling them (3 point linkage bucket, rear scoop, rear loader, rear hydraulic bucket, etc).

I was originally after a 3 point linkage bucket (not an articulated back hoe), something I could reverse into a pile of mulch/sand/gravel pick some up and drive away. From what I found, some were just scoops that only scoop in the forward direction when you drive over the material, some were tipping carry-alls.

John Berends used to make a proper rear scoop strong enough to shift gravel, but stopped a number of years ago due to lack of demand.

My internet search came up with:

    http://karatayagriculture.com/tractor-rear-bucket/#!

I like them because they give a load rating, which gives an indication of strength. Another reason is that Turkey imports a lot to the EU. The EU has high safety standards so build quality tends to be higher than a lot of the Chinese offerings.

When I looked to bring in a John Deere, it was a lot cheaper in the US, but nearly impossible to import because of dealers not being able to sell out of their zones. Bought locally and paid more but it was easier.

As previously stated , beware of importing 2nd hand ag machinery .
I have heard of a few bio security nightmares from cockys who tried this .

I don't believe that there isn't a local dealer who can provide you with what you need. Keep your money local, it helps your mates too.

As long as it is for private use, then simpler, if you are importing to resell then there can be consequences when public liability is involved, Ie. if there is no Australian distributers office then you the importer will be deemed the manufacturer. As a manufactuer you become responsible for liability claims. Getting insurance to cover your self is very very difficult.

You must want to use the scoop commercially.... I have a 3pl scoop here ... it probably holds about a decent wheelbarrow full of dirt/sand/gravel. similar to this:

It's a tip bucket. fiddly to use, but it beats the **** out of shovelling into a barrow. It does work, but I couldn't imagine using it for anything other than "hobby farm" type use. You see, even using it for 20minutes ... your bloody neck is killing you from looking over you shoulder... The trip mechanism is a PITA to use.... My tractor is just a ****ty old IH434 ... it rated lifting capacity of the 3PL is about 1.3tons.... The bucket is quite a bit further out from the back of the tractor ... so say 50% of this ... then you will have the front wheels of the tractor off the ground trying to move it ... and no steering ....

    I woldn't even consider it ... You need a FEL !!
