    Sydney Neighborhood guidance and opinions

Hey everyone - about a month ago i posted here about a 3-6mo stay in Australia for my wifes work... i cant find that post for some reason to continue it; but per the recommendations of many i began some informed research and am looking to find a rental from Manly to coogee. I may be out of my mind because i know the scarcity of rentals available here in southern california for comparable neighborhoods but be that as it may, can those interested please respond with insight into those neighborhoods? especially if you live there?

also... where to find the best rentals listings? if someone were looking to move to the LA area temporarily i would offer westsiderentals as the best resource for listings... keeps you away from craigslist problems and offers a WIDE variety of areas, prices, listings and contacts. Air B&B seems to be overrun...

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR TIME AND THOUGHTS!!! ELIAS

    the two websites you need:

    https://www.domain.com.au/

Real Estate, Property & Homes For Sale - realestate.com.au

Coogee to the city is a bit painful for a daily commuter - its only served by busses - whereas Manly you have the ferry - which is a great way to get to the city.

Or you could go a bit closer to the City - Mosman etc.

Ive lived in Coogee, Mosman and spent a fair bit of time in Manly - if I was only doing 3-6 months and wanted to get the most out of Sydney I would choose Manly. You might pay a bit more in rent, but you will be close to the city, but in a great beachside suburb, with the Ferry on your doorstop to get you around for work and site seeing.

Rents are high in the Manly and Mosman areas.

    Not just high, VERY HIGH!
It would be the highest in Oz , try Cronulla / Sutherland shire and a few of the southern areas close to ocean as besides ferry any commute by car from northern burbs to city is strangled by the bridge/tunnel.

Did you try clicking on Quick Links? You might find your thread there, in prescribed threads.
Could save us all having to put our Two Bobs worth in a second time. ( Two Bob = AUD $0.20.)
    Failing that, happy to oblige.

BTW eliaschristeas, when you get here you will have to learn how to use the letter 'U'. It is needed is such words as labour, favour and many more. You will also have to learn to write the date properly, as in dd/mm/yy.

V8ian! yes I know! for what its worth to put it out there ive been a land rover technician for nearly 20 years now stateside... focusing on restoration and sales exclusively for the last 5 years especially... I use the imperial U in all of those words in my listings... separate yourself from the pack in this Avalon Blue Disco... A COLOUR reserved for 95 RRC's and only a handful of ESPECIAL order D1's....

thanks for the continued input!!! Need all the help I can get!!!
