Fibreglass Bonnets?

Does anybody here know of anyone that makes FibreGlass Bonnets for 86 Range Rovers?

Queensland based prefered.

there was one on ebay a few times a couple of months ago, as far as i'm aware it didn't sell.

Keep a lookout on there, may pop up for sale again.

We have a real one. But it weighs a tonne. (well maybe not that much, But its danged heavy). And Dad was looking at ways to lighten it.

so does aluminium, or is a rangie bonnet made of steel?

At some stage, rangie bonnets went from steel to alloy. Why not just put a couple of gas rams on it ?

Bonnet on the 80 Rangie was way too heavy for me..especially as I'm a shortarse. I installed the torsion spring setup from an 89 model and it's now a one handed lift

There is a mob in Queensland that make them, although from memory I get the feeling they are quite pricey.

If I cant get a FG bonnet, is there any mods to make it easier to lift?

Oh and does anyone have the back of the rear right flare? Ours is missing. :roll:
