I've had a gutfull!!!

Ok, so phone rings again for the 5th time today as it has at the same time every day for the last 6 months, comes up PRIVATE, and I answer it.Theres the delay, and them someone who I have trouble understanding, says HELLO ITS BILL can I speak to Crump, Im calling about Telstra countrywide. I'm suprised cos normally I say HELLO and it just disconnects, or as its private no. I know its them and I just dont answer, so I say to this guy "yes it is, dont ever ring this number again or I'll kill you". I have rang Telstra over this and they say cos its an OS call its not coming from them, so why the hell is some dude OS trying to sell their product? 8O i have also written to some mob in Sydney stating that I want my no. removed from any advertorial lists.Telstra tells me that I should get a Private no. Why the hell should I? This is harrassment, plain and simple and the telco is getting away with it, I dont get a lot of calls( cos Im a bastard) but I get at least 5 a day from these jokers, who say its someone else.Is it just me ? Whats the solution? besides actually killing these people.

Oh yeah, dont want to hear any racisty type stuff, just a solution,also be interested in the fact if I have broken the law by threatening someone .

we get the same sort of thing here as well

when we answer they just hang up and you guessed it a private number

I have dial up Internet, so I log in when I come in at around 4:15pm each day and just leave it connected till 11pm each night.

I ring out on my mobile if need be. That stuffs em up.

I don't answer "private" calls,

There are one or two people I know whose numbers are "silent" read "private" and they can leave a message if their privacy is so important because as sure as hell my privacy is.

But it can be good sport if you are in the mood

Yeh, thats fine just dont answer, but the phone still rings, for nothing , you still run up from the backyard to see who it is.Also Telstra tells me that they can place a trace on my phone for a month, but if its a OS call thay cant trace it. 8O

I figure that if someone comes into my house without my blessing, then game on. That includes pornorkles what ring my phone what don't know me but want to sell me stuff what I dunna want.

My FAVOURITE way of dealing with such pornorkles is to ask,

"wwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhat are you wearing...?"

They hang up, and I go back to my drying paint wall with a dry little grin.

If its telemarketing it depends on my mood either I listen or I just harras them and ask for money to listen to their speel. I have been known to be very rude. You might try asking for the on duty supervisor and then let rip.
PS they rarely call us these days

We gave Telstra the flick a number of years ago.
My number's not private and we never get those harrassing calls.
Currently using I Primus as Optus didn't service this area.

I used to work on a farm in QLD (pineapples), always had problems with crows. We found if you shoot a couple and hang 'em around the crops the others stay away............works for mormons and Jehovas Witness that used to knock on our door.
