    Next one?
Good question. Short term, very likely Armidale near Perth early next month.
We have just had a long meeting with her coach to talk about her future and 1,5 &10 year ambitions.
1 year. To qualify for worlds again next year. And if possible to focus on cross tri, duathlon and Aquathlon for Denmark next year.
And also to achieve selection for short course tri world championships being held on the Gold Coast.
5 year. Will see her 22 years old and hopefully competing in the very competitive U23 division. Hopefully having been noticed by triathlon Australia and being under their programme.
10 year. Commonwealth/ Olympics. Who knows. That depends on how the previous 5 years went. But if not she has always been keen on the longer events. Ironman series?

She does like this uniform. I don't believe it will be the last time she will be in it.

    Sounds great.
Can I recommend you build on the support she has attracted this year and, if you haven't already, set up a way for people to continue to support her for the future?

Fartlek Fartlek and Fartlek for that little bit extra speed works for me. Quadzilla is one muscle toned superstar. Send her to Melb for a 1/2 marathon in five weeks, Sydney this weekend could be a rush.

Glad its your supergirl in the tri suit. Mine is buried deep until the Geelong 1/2 ironman much to the relief of the neighbourhood here.

She did , and won her age group, the Gold Coast half marathon last year. But has been warned off doing long distance events at her age. The warnings were right. Within about a week of the marathon she pulled up injured and had close to 3 months off running.

Prior to Worlds she was carrying a niggly leg injury and her coach limited her running. Running used to be her strong leg, now it's her weakest, having said that though, she has recently been putting out pb's on park runs and school cross country and 3000m.

Coach is putting more running into her program. Fartlek is a term I often hear. If it's what I remember, I enjoy it more than her cos I feel important standing on the side with my stopwatch.

A 70.3 was definitely on her radar for when she's old enough. But after Penticton she really wishes she was old enough for the Aquabike. 3.8km swim and 120km ride. To her all the fun without the pain of the run.

I agree re running shorter to middle distances till trained for the long runs Fred, It is very easy to hurt yourself running if not shown how to by people who really know how to. I guessed she would be a butt kicking runner. Oddly it would be where I would steer most supergirls as it when done well is a sport which can take a few to the very top. I do know several 80 year olds who still can run honestly. Saw a cool 60 year old 2 foot nothing lady smash out 10km yesterday. Her husband is 70 and just stopped. One of my HEROS passed me in my 2nd marathon. She aged 70ish, Asked her when she will run another marathon at a Park Run recently. She told me she is saving it for her 75th birthday where I bet she will set a new age base record. She missed the 70 old one by about 10 seconds.

Fartlek, which means "speed play" in Swedish. It is interval training which at a distance level is 1 to 5k fast then recovery for time at a slower pace. It is really tough if you push to your top speed.

With a 1/2 win already I wonder if she could be chasing an Olympic hit out at 10000 or even my holy grail in a few years. I know how she feels mind you. Loved my only 70.30 as it was really easy for me compared to the silly events I love myself. Bikes and swimming is not easy but just easier than just running. I always suggest a runner sees a good physio in their running kit for an assessment. Can make running pure pleasure as it is for me.
