One of our members, kenleyfred, needs to get to Canada in about eight weeks. There are very good reasons for this, and there are strong hindrances preventing it. So, there are a few of us who want to help, and this is going to be the thread. We have ideas, we have tacit support from Incisor and the Mods. What we need now is Kenley. I hope to get the Mods to move previous posts on another thread to this one.

I'll make a donation, too.

A bit more info: we are hoping to start a fundraiser to help Kenley. This, of course, depends on his agreement, which we don't yet have, but a show of hands of those who might consider a contribution might get the ball rolling. At this point, we don't have a particular model for this funding, as there are many options. Most of the web based systems take a commission at the least, and we'd prefer to avoid this. A couple of us have idle, empty bank accounts that could be used for this ( no, we're not in Nigeria ). All thoughts and ideas will be welcomed.

I hope that the Mods can at least get kenleyfreds original post here for you to read. It's important to note that Kenley was not asking, but it's also important to note that sometimes we can give without being asked.

I'm not well off myself, but I don't have a cause like Kenley does. If this works, I'll kick in the first $100. If I was as well off as some here, I'd kick in the whole amount. What's that? Oh, yes, we don't know the amount required yet. Only Kenley can tell us that.

I know there is more to work through, but let's see where this first phase takes us.
