    SANDBLASTING

Anybody got an idea what it would cost to blast or blast and coat a 8'X5' box trailer?

I got my 8x5 tandem done about 2 years ago, blasted and primed, cost $500 if memory serves.

Taking a different tack, has anybody had any experience with sandblasters, both sub $100 and sub $300? I know you only get what you pay for but are these small units capable of blasting large items, albeit slowly?

For something the size of a box trailer the smaller sub $100 units are too small
They work ok for small items but use a lot of medium and need a fair size compressor to drive them
The industrial units need large compressors and specialist breathing gear
IMO send it to a specialist sand blaster and pay the money

Small ones are great for spot jobs...and I did do a trailer with one, but just the bits where rust are. No way would it be any good for a whole trailer...as per previous post, I would rather pay for it to be done. When I say small one...it is just the $30 one which is like an airgun with a hose that goes into a bucket of sand.
