I knew someone travelling the Newell on a Pioneer coach, back in the day. There was a sheep licking a star picket, on the side of the road. The driver pointed it out to the passengers, telling them that's where steel wool came from. My then 17 year old, friend, believed it for many years after.

AT RESTWhen I was up in Brisbane, my mate took us to South Bank and we walked along and the was an intricate wooden building, I can't recall what it's purpose was,( it might have been an oriental style building, too long ago to recall) my mate turned to his wife and told her it was carved from a single tree. So out of 1000 americans surveyed, 16 million of them are stupid

Seven percent of the sample surveyed were stupid, so the researchers speculated that if the level of stupidity in the sample was typical of the whole population then there would be 16 million stupid people in America.
I think that there is clear evidence that they have grossly underestimated the level of stupidity in the population as a whole.
