I reckon we could beat that here in Oz.
From my observations in recent times, I would suggest that more than 7% of Australians are stupid.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

The average IQ is roughly 100. That means half the population is below that. Take from that what you will......
I remember seeing a thread on the cough... Patrol forum .... Cough about a thread on where to buy diesel suited to turbo diesels.
There are some special people out there.

Working in Brissie in the late '60s, early '70s I'd walk from Central Station to George St to the office. Train travelers, on exiting the station, were often approached by "Survey People" & asked questions or to fill out a quick questionnaire.
Some of the replies given by other people and myself were, in hindsight, not reflective of a sensible response but we thought it was funny at the time (Late teens, early twenties). We'd recount our answers on the trip home & have a bloody good laugh, voting for the best (worst) reply.
Looking back, it probably did more harm than good.

So it's all your fault Steve?
Do you remember any amusing ones?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Not so funny now but a mate, let's call him Bob, worked in a Govt dept that dealt with feral animals. On this occasion the survey was about the boycott of the "Springboks", the Sth African Rugby team, which Joh, in his wisdom, was using as a political football (pun intended.).
Bob managed to spit out a diatribe about the number of feral species already in Australia , quoting fair dinkum facts & figures, which lasted a good 10 mins.
Geez, it was good! Would have made him a squillion on todays social media.
