Well that was a big NON-event.

bit of wind and rain but you would hardly know we had a cyclone happening.

oh well back to normal soon the and bring on the next big one.

YELLOW ALERT: People in coastal communities between Pardoo and Whim Creek, including Pardoo, Port Hedland, South Hedland and Whim Creek, should commence action in preparation for the cyclone's arrival.

Closed the shop just after 3pm when a yellow alert was given, may not be able to open back up tomorrow right now, will depend on how long it takes to pass over.

our port is expecting storm surge flooding, but that wont reach into me.

Geez, Bugga you have missed it and sent it down here. We had about an 1 1/2" about 15-30. It is torrential rain here at the moment for the last 45 minutes and I would gues about 2"-3" in that time and still coming down hard. Think I may need a boat, have not seen rain like this here since Cyclone Bobby.

Lots of mud and still raining too, Daryl dragged the rain down from up north, since friday we have had maybe 60mm so its all coming up green now.

And no it dont leak and so far no recovery needed.

With the prep work I did before it got here I was a bit disapointed, had the outdoor setting and BBQ all lashed down ready for the red alert we got at 9pm and the 8O not a damm thing but a strong breeze and some rain.

Did loose one big tree branch, but I think it was weakened by the first one that went through here.

Oh well, onto the next one I say :wink:
