Whatever they drive whether it be a Camry or other buzz box, they love to give the impression of being as good as an F1 driver. As long as I'm not in the passenger seat I couldn't careless.
That reminds me, I flogged a little Datto 1000 (I think) 20 odd years ago to a mate for his son....... good little car blown up within a fortnight!

If they attend a house auction, do they ask the auctioneer? Then, I get some bloke who wants to swap it for a Chinese quad bike "I've just got sitting here, worth $2000 no worries". This isn't glumtree, this is fleabay. Strewth.

    Dunno how Mario copes.
John, It's simple I don't auction, buy it now price, they either take it or leave it, it's all in front of them. . Don't let it worry you John, otherwise you will end up a grumpy old man like me.

Yep. I sold a car on carsales. (Should never have sold it.) Advertised for $6k. The amount of people who emailed "Let me do you a favour, I'll take it off your hands for $1,000. Cash!"
    I just didn't respond.
I did have one fellow who followed up his lowball offer with an email asking me why I didn't respond. I responded to that basically telling him his offer was not worthy of a response.
I did have one fellow make me a lowball offer. He said everything in my description was bull****. He did come out and have a look at the car and found out my description wasn't bull****. He did agree to pay my price and offered a deposit but had to clear the purchase with his missus first. Two weeks later he phoned me with the news he could purchase the car as long as he signed the divorce papers. Good job I didn't take the deposit.
Yep, the lowballers can be a pain if you let them. As has been said, just ignore them.

Sadly, You tend to get as lot of these dreamers these days, people with either no money or have no kahoonas.
Wouldn't you first check your funds before you waste other peoples times, and wouldn't you discuss it first with your other half about a purchase you would like to make, then go confidently and make the purchase? Gum tree is even worst.

As Mr Marsh already has one the only people you are going to have calling are Domestic cleaners, the sight and hearing impaired, P plate lads with no self respect or any idea what might pull a chick and total Nongs.
Any or all of these people will be highly likely to waste your time, so I suggest you waste as much of theirs as you can. Beat them around the bush, then around the paddock and then around the Continent. Feed them a diatribe of irrelevant Bovine Excreta and jack up the price. After all You might as well be the one who's amused.
    Cheers, Billy.

Oh, he was a nice fellow. We had a nice long chat. Don't mind that at all.
He got a better idea what was out there and what he needed to pay. All he had to do was decide what he wanted. A restorers delight or something that needed a bit of a buff. Unfortunately he had the budget for a basket case.
He was better than the woman who was buying a car for her daughter. She demanded I rebuild the motor and gearbox, give it a respray and guarantee it to be a reliable and cheap car to run. "Listen, Lady.." I said, "When you find one of those, ask him if he's got two 'cause I'd like one."
If I had that car today, I reckon I'd be able to sell it for $10k easily come summer.

So Mick, one for personal use is not enough and you're going to collect these too?

    Good point.

Got to get the off road version, of course.

And the inflatable one for emergencies.
