Sitting in A&E at the hospital watching the world go by .

    Gday All,

Think i am going to be waiting a while , got a bloke next to me covered in blood but keep abusing the staff when they try and help him . People getting irate with the staff because others are getting seen before them .

    might be a long night

cant pay these staff enough in my view .

    Cheers Ean

A lot of poeple that go to A&E shouldn't be there, they should go to a clinic or own doctor, but those with a sore thumb or a scratch want to tie up the valuable time in A&E.
You get a person with heart pains come in and gets seen before someone that has a sniffle and the sniffler complains they had to wait hours. That's what the TRIAGE system is for, prioritise in order of seriousness.

Yep, a hell of a job.

Hope all is OK and nothing too serious.

i am a bit concerned I have picked up a virus that lives in the soil up here. I had a friend die from it so don't want to take any chances .

I find it abhorrent that anyone would abuse ambos/medical staff.....and it is a sad reflection upon society when we have to have tv adverts asking people not to abuse them.

couldnt agree more. Our eldest daughter runs the Kidney dialysis clinic and some of the things she tells me about the abuse the nurses and her get just trying to keep people alive. Lucky I'm not doing her job.

Hope all turns out well Ean.....

I couldn't agree more about the emergency staff and the crap they have to endure to do their job.

I have huge respect for them, I don't think I could take it without bouncing back pretty hard....

Hope your seen soon... Best of Luck...

People seem to have this god given right to abuse others or even assault them... They change there tune quick when the boot is on the other foot, but how long and how many, before that happens...

I am polite to doctors, I just dont like them... Nurses are completely different, rarely find a nasty one and usually its because of the treatment by others...
