Having seen seven blokes tying to hold down one Ice user, I wouldn't do that job in full armour. Why would you? Speaks very much to their dedication.

Hope you are seen soon and all is well.

Yep, several nurses in the family and they can tell stories about how selfish some people are. Ice users are completely berserk, like the one who was punching a post.
    Hope you're OK mate.

Ditto on the good wishes Ean, and having an ex partner who is a nurse, they are seriously undervalued and often unprotected, particularly in country hospitals where often the are the only one in ED.

Distress beacons are useless in that situation.

    Gday All,

All good , got there at 6pm ,was assessed within 30mins and into see the Doctors by 9.30 . Spent 2 hours getting tests done and they ruled out anything sinister which was a relief. It sounds like a long wait but they did say if I had any trouble breathing or pain to let them know and they would see straight away. Was a few people there far worse off than me

Shouted the staff a couple of pizzas for their trouble, and home by midnight.

    Thanks for the well wishes.

    Cheers Ean

Pleased to hear that it wasn't anything too threatening but it was worth checking anyway under the circumstances. Good on you for the pizzas, having a nurse in our family I know it would have been appreciated, and the pizzas would have disappeared very promptly

I'm told that hovering specialists often are the cause

Sitting in A&E at the hospital watching the world go by .

For mine, the State and/or Federal politicians should enact mandatory jail terms for assaulting emergency workers or hospital staff. No bail, no parole, just a minimum time (in months, not days) to serve, and progressive doubling for further offences!

it was funny , sitting in the waiting room I was hearing people say how they reckon the doctors were sitting around doing not much , prolly just a med student or 2 seeing people that's why they were slow. Certainly wasn't the case where I was , the nurses and doctors didn't stop. I heard them talking about food and asked if they felt like some pizza.

I think people must watch to much TV and think that's what happens in the real world hospitals.

anyway no complaints from me - I slept easier knowing it wasn't what I thought it could be as a friend is now pushing up daisies because he didn't bother till it was to late.

    Cheers Ean
