Try your luck at a canvas worker
Somehow the zips on BOTH of my sleeping bags have managed to bugger themselves.
I would like to get them replaced with new, proper YKK zippers (or similar, as suitable) if possible.
Would no doubt be a lot cheaper than buying new bags !
Does anyone know of a place in or around Brisbane that does that type of worK?
Cheers

If the zips are opening again after they are zipped up, it is probably the slider is worn.
New sliders can be bought for a couple of dollars on ebay once you work out the size.
You then cut the top of the zip , slide off the old slider and slide on the new slider, fiddly but doable.
Then stitch a barrier across the top so that the new slider cannot escape.
You may get an unpleasant surprise when you ask how much to put new zips in.

With camper trailers my daughter currently is having new zips put in at a cost of $600 as they have to take off the tent. Not comparable but you may find new bags not much more expensive than new zips.

All depends on the value of the sleeping bag.......
I would say it might be a challenge finding somebody to do it as it would be a bit of work.
