Woke this morning to the phone constantly ringing and when i pick i get the recorded message " your call could not be connected " , funny as i hadnt called anyone and the line was so bad i couldnt anyway. On the phone for an hour with ISP and ran thru the whole crap yet again and he tried to tell me that the fault was fixed yet 5 secs earlier also told me he can see constant dropouts on our line , i said how can it be fixed if i have no internet, no dial tone and line is crackly as all get out. Finally they lodged a fault and the waiting game begins - again.

Good luck. Don't give up. If you have NBN then it may need an NBN tech to fix it.
Numerous others have had similar problems, which is why complaints to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman have skyrocketed, but you must go through the telcos complaints process first.

    Make a complaint - TIO

No NBN yet, expected late next year which is why they dont seem to fixing it properly. Really needs new cabling but it will require the street being dug up.
