Next year will be 50 years that daylight saving started in Australia (except for the war years)
Every year since then, at this time , every year , the same arguments for and against come up.
Btw, Queensland had it early, but we saw the light and switched it off.
If it was cancelled Australia wide, it really wouldn't make one scrap of difference to your lives. You will swear black and blue that it does. It didn't 50 yrs ago before you had it.
    Silliness, gullibility.

I wasn't born 50 years ago! So i grew up with it, and love it. I can spend 4 hours at the beach after work with my kids, or atleast doing things after work, whats not to like about it.
Queenslanders don't have it, no big deal so stop harping on about how you hate it. (Not directed at you ramblingboy)

Ah Daylight savings is certainly not natural, but a self indulgent aberration. The actual sunrise and sunset times do not actually change in the natural world. Just happy we in WA have resisted it. The best part about summer is getting up in the morning in nice early light, day light savings means you still get up in the dark all year and even without day light savings does not get dark until well after 19:30.

Yeah, I still have several sets of bleached curtains from SA, along with my very confused Cow and Chickens. Now in WA the SA Chickens are confused while the WA ones are OK.
