I had a phone call this morning from some clown (indian/pakistani) telling me that I had been involved in an accident and there were circumstances that may get me into serious difficulty, I used some choice words which I can't write here and hung up, it was just a fluke I was within arms reach of the phone otherwise I wouldn't heard it LOL cheers Dennis

Over the last 3 weeks I have been getting scam emails from" Patricia" stating one of the following
    We funded your account.
    Payment received Ref A93105.
    Your payment is scheduled.
Your refund is ready for you.
    TNT Package tracking#K524132.
2 or 3 of the above will turn up each day and the desist for a day or two before starting again ,becoming a pain deleting them all the time.

Well, they are at it again. A scammer rang me and said he was from Telstra and my internet would be cut off for three months from tomorrow. I haven't much patience with these type of phone calls and just hang up. I rang my phone company to inform them of the scam, they logged it and said they are aware of it. I guess if I had more patience I should have played the scammer a bit. It sounded like a busy office he rang from because I could hear other people talking in the background, must be a big racket.

I was a little naughty yesterday and got stopped by one of NSW's best - after the cordial one way exhange of details he asked did I want the infringement notice by mail or by email - hmm I will just take it now I replied - well no, while it is an on the spot fine, the notice is not given to you on the spot - mail or email only.

Because of scammers, normally I would ignore these sort of things in the mail and particularly via email - now I know this is coming so I will expect it but if it was from a fixed speed camera and they emailed it to me - I would not be expecting it and initially would ignore it.

I think the authorities need to understand how scammers work and work differently - tickets used to be given to drivers on the spot but it seems no longer the case.
