Nah, not interesting in the 'Ring.

I've decided to stay home and let her go by herself. I'm not that interested in travelling overseas.

I worked with a guy, long dead, who travelled to Germany 34 times in 1944-45. He said the locals were most inhospitable. He didn't bother stopping and sightseeing but returned to the UK post haste.

The schnapps decisions you'll regret 😀.
But seriously if there's nothing there that interests you food, museums, places, plonk(beer ice wine schnapps etc) and your partner doesn't mind not sharing the experience you could spend the money elsewhere?
Is it just Germany or could you do neighbouring countries like Austria or Switzerland and maybe Italy or France ? The alps, and even historical places are very interesting.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Hire a moto and have a look around. It'd be awesome. Some great windy roads in Germany. And you could really wind a bike out on the autobahn!

I know this is moot as once Ron has made up his mind, that's it, others may like some info.

I road around a lot of Germany and Austria on my 6mth tour of Europe and the UK and Ireland by motorcycle, the roads are amazing and Europe is very motorcycle friendly, Oktoberfest was brilliant(bit late though) and this time of year it's still warm enough and ice free for a great ride experience.

People are friendly, beer is cold and excellent, food is amazing, I recommend the BMW museum in Munich, the Spanish dancing horse breeding farm in Piber near Voitsberg in Austria and the training centre in Vienna, the Alps of course, amazing cities I loved it.
    Cheers Baz.
