We had the same problem when we went to UK/Europe a few years back. I very nearly didn't go.

I got in the proverbial a bit once before, after she'd planned a trip to Antarctica and I said no after all the planning.

My wife went to Europe by herself for 6 weeks once before because I wasn't really interested in travel. I'm quite happy to stay home and not go anywhere.

I'm not that keen on leaving home for any reason and I tend to not go out unless I have to.

If she goes by herself, she can use my frequent flyer points, together with hers, to fly first class both ways.

John Laws once said why travel !! your only going where somebody else lives . Plus travel is so cheap now that you have to put up with Bogons .
