    Back in the day Cops here Victoria used to get paid to use their own car in some country locations.
    A friends father was a country cop down in south east Victoria and he recalls his father being paid to use the family car for police duties, and apparently it was rather common.

    It might happen again now that Commodores and Falcons are history.

    Lines from the end of 'The Fisher King'

    So how many murders have occurred in Midsomer? The exact figure is a little confused as Barnaby's investigations frequently uncover 'historical' murders that occurred many years previously, which act as a catalyst to the current crime.
    There are also a goodly number of suicides and just occassionally deaths by accidents or natural causes where murder is suspected.
    The most popular murder weapon is still the old fashioned knife or sharp bladed instrument, although shotguns have been widely used. Some of the more original methods have included electrocution, bows and arrows, falling furniture and even someone drowned in a cauldron of soup!

    Follow the link below to see a list of all the murders for the episodes screened in the U.K so far. With further new episodes to be shown shortly and another series currently being filmed, the death rate looks set to increase still further. Watch here for updates!
