    Even dog and chain load restraints will loosen. Loads will always shift.

    On a serious note..... great topic Grappler. So true how badly people often secure loads. People just need to learn to use what ever they have correctly and as Craig said, recheck them regularly.

    I struggle to tie shoe laces. When I was in the Norfolk Island Volunteer Rescue Squad which mainly trained for cliff rescue, they wouldn't let me near a rope except to abseil down it.
