Would that be an Ozzie ostrich then?, no need for photos, I've seen him on tv !
Imagine my astonishment when, about a couple of months after moving to the frosty realms of Scandinavia, whilst driving on a forest track and ready for my first encounter with the majestic moose, I ran into a flock of ...ostriches!!! And no, I hadn't touched any alcoholic beverages or psychedelic substances those days. These bl***y birds are taking over the world!
Apparently ostrich farming was en vogue that time and somehow some birds had managed to make a lucky escape. They probably didn't survive the hunting season, though.

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
Now you've piqued my interest I shall ask about ostriches as I travel through SA in March.
By the way , Phil, who owns Mungeranie , is the biggest bull****artist you could ever meet.He has a different story for every set of eyes. He can pull stuff out from under the bar with a different story for everything. As for the lass, I forget her name ,(might be Judy), but hanging around Phil, the story telling would rub off.
It was about March 2015 that I was there. The guy who owned the place wasn't there but the bar lass (Debbie) said he was looking to sell. I don't know if it was the same owner back then as now.
I don't recall being told any tall stories when I was there but there would have been plenty of opportunity to do so as there was only myself and a couple of guys from a road maintenance crew there.
