My wife should have the last say. Totally because " happy wife, happy life ". Her take is , if you can't laugh at yourself, what are you. ? the answer, Americans. And that is the way we are headed.

Haven't seen the ad , haven't thought about lamb , maybe if I can get a goat leg ? More than likely tube steaks as I have my own agenda for the day.

I'm not a great Fan of Lamb, Yes it's nice and tender but the chops are tiny compared to Hogget or Mutton and there is much more Flavour in Hogget and Mutton especially the roasts.

Yep had a few, nearly stopped by today, but the lamb day is still some few weeks away. Let's see what happens.

Have to agree. I was bought up on lamb, except when we could kill a beast, out western Qld. From Quilpie to Ilfracombe, Hughenden to Longreach, You ate what you could kill. Except Kangaroos. They were dog meat. I still love lamb. Nothing to do with Australia Day. Another example of how advertising has hijacked our national identity, and how Australians have been conned .

Guess it all comes down to what you were brought up with or aspired to at certain points of your life.

Kangaroo is great. Anyone who hasn't tried The Kanga Bangas or Kangaroo burgers at coles should give them a go. It's a great 'gateway' recipe into eating 'roo.
