Sydney, as I head home after being sent down under for an all too short work trip from the States. Managed to meet up with a few Aulro'ers while here this week, including Bearman in Mackay and Glenn in Geelong. Thank you all for the time, memories, and continuing friendships.20241207_145048.jpg20241207_120257.jpg20241207_150125.jpeg20241214_103436.jpg20241214_084340.jpeg

In major cities in the States there is a saying - that the city is an hour from the city. Where are you logging in from (not your home town)

All moving bumper to bumper at about 25mph.

Denmark for the next week and a bit. A bit cooler than Perth!

I've heard it can get warm in Perth, never actually experienced it myself. One time I flew from Port Hedland in shirt sleeves to arrive on the Perth tarmac, bucketing down rain, blowing a gale and 15⁰. It was a long, unpleasant walk to the terminal.

Reminds me of the scene at Melbourne airport when a service started that I think had one stop between Port Moresby and Melbourne. And the previous year, when I was in Moresby, looking at the passengers arriving from Melbourne (or even in Sydney) in winter, arriving dressed for the weather where they left a few hours earlier.

Easy enough to do. I’ve had funny looks walking into Adelaide International heading for BKK wearing shorts/t shirt and it’s 10° in Adelaide.

Same will apply Sunday. - jumping a flight to BrisVegas for a bit of R&R…. Shorts and T-shirt for sure!
