    premium Diesel at local Coles

Went to my local Coles servo at Kincumber today to top up.

Lifted the black hose nozzle and happened to look at the price per litre 159.9. What the?

Then I read the fine print and noticed another black hose/nozzle which was diesel at 139.9.

The servo has dropped one type of petrol and fitted a pump for premium diesel, although there is no mention on the price board.

Both hoses are pretty much identical, but with a small sticker above the premium diesel saying Vortex increases efficiency blah blah.

I don't know if 159.9 is the actual price or that is just there for the time being. The bloke inside said that it is very new.

If so I don't think they will sell much.

    Regards Philip A

My local Puma has two covered areas, one for trucks, the other for light vehicles. Only Puma-Max is available in the LV area and only Puma Diesel in the truck area. They will not authorise Puma Diesel for LVs. Both products come from the same underground tank, but the Puma-Max is 2cpl dearer.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

That's a good lurk to keep an eye out for. Fortunately, where I get my diesel from (the stuff I have to pay for that is ), I fill at the same bowsers as the trucks.
    Cheers .........

You asked them why not, Ian? Seems a bit discriminatory to me. Do they have a genuine reason?

Depends on whether you consider gouging customers an extra 2cpl genuine or not.
