That's the same way I did it the first time with much swearing.
The tip to use the outside hole was from a reputable source, but can't recall where.
AFAIR LR design principles and flex were mentioned.
Anyway mine have been set like that for over 200,000 with no probs. Bushes last about 50,000 max.
Neither way seems right, but it is LR.

Just had a look and I do have a PDF RRC workshop manual for suspension, with both types of upper bracket.
Says to use the inboard hole, outer hole not designed for that purpose.
There you go...................
