We are being unfair here - there is just as much chance that someone backed / ran into the rear of them.
I just thought i was being a bit random and maybe a bit funny. It wasnt intended to be a comment about pauline herself. My 'point' was that pauline was very clearly born here, assuming she was (?). Given the reaction i would much rather just delete it. Whether the person was born here or not doesnt seem of any great significance to me(?), but obviously if born here would nullify part of my original comment.
It seems its not a new topic.
Police Association suggests burqa driving ban - NZ Herald
'Experts' in NZ have suggested dropping highway speed limit from 100kph to 70kph....so going on that trajectory, we shall all soon be driving wrapped in cotton wool suits, with just slits for the eyes to see out of...
It seems that authorities have decided that its okay vision wise. I dont really know myself, i havent worn any of the various types.
What is interesting is that by my impression the burqa evolved and is maintained in countries where women dont drive, so its not necessarily a widespread tried and proven thing. Its also my experience that more women than men dont like using wing mirrors, which you might need to use even more so while wearing a burqa.
It may be that burqas and flying tailights go together? But i dont know..........Does the Burqa/Burka obscure her vision, worst driver causes accident Shocking footage, BAD DRIVING - YouTube
I would say the average person will have nearly a 180 degree field of view and just having a slit to see out of would reduce that to roughly 60 degrees, yet a phone or gps in a holder cant impair your forward vision or you are fined.
