It does seem like summer finished and we went straight to winter here in Adelaide. The trees are just dropping their leaves in the last week or so. The tree out front of my place usually has seed pods once a year. Its had pods twice this year. Weird. Climate change? I wonder what mother nature has in store for the human race that infests and destroys her so willingly and without future thought.

    Ohh. Aspergers moment.

    Cheers Rod

Winter is about to hit WA.
Severe weather warning issued as destructive cold front approaches southern WA - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

It'll weaken by the time it gets here.

Even when not “naturally insulated” I have never felt the cold.

Would go swimming in our backyard pool in the middle of winter!

In Australia I run my climate control in the D4 on 18c.
In Thailand I run it at 26c. As this ‘feels’ less intrusive when you get out.

Not unusual at the moment to be in the shed, shorts and t-shirt in the middle of the night working on a project!

Not a chance of this dying out, It has been blowing its guts out for a few hours now from N-NW and much of the top soil from all the farmers dry sown paddocks is up in the air poor buggers.
We Never get this much wind from the North without some good rain following it.
There is a severe weather warning out from Sharks Bay in the North to Albany in the South, We are definitely going to get a wet arse tonight.

Twenty four degrees seems to be the standard recommended temperature by government departments.

I can't recall a steady 24C whilst working on the land/sea or in a Minesite.

    No Pants?

Youngest daughter has a birthday in the middle of June, two weeks before she arrived I had the roof off her bedroom for 3 days and the weather was warm with chilly mornings and not a drop of rain. Pretty similar to this year, not that that means much in a scientific sense, just that humans aren't very good at objectively remembering what the weather is like year on year.

I now know I am insane , as I will be giving up the Qld winter for that of Melbourne sometime in July. I just hope we get a decently insulated flat and the op shops aren’t sold out of winter clothing . Still it can’t be as bad as the minus 20-30 c I had at one stage of my life.

2 o'clock in the morning Elleker near Albany WA , finished blacking out around a farmhouse that had come very close to being burnt to the ground ,driving the firetruck looking all around from a hill top at nothing but flames as far as you could see, the wind gusting past 100 kph, the temperature ( when not near the flame front) 22 degrees.....that temp mightn't be unusual in summer for the south coast WA , but this was the morning of the 25th may
