In my case the left knee. Even though the more powerful Cummins has cut my gear changes by a good 75%, stop-start in heavy traffic still takes its toll.

Thanks for the info Ron (and others) and the map I note that this route goes past Silverdale. I went to a hill climb there back in the 70's/80's if this is the same place.

One and the same I believe. That should bring back some memories for a few petrol heads on here.

You could stop at Land Vehicle Spares at Silverdale - purveyors of second hand LR bits.

I’d better check to be sure. I assumed that my Sydney etag would work in Melbourne some years ago and ended up with a whopping fine

Re Silverdale Hill Climb, there's a couple of well known Sydney LR identities in the pics here: VSCCA, Silverdale Hill Climb Revisited - Will's (MR LR) grandfather and father, Arthur and Malcolm Garthon.

I came back that way from Gosford the other day. I hit Pennant Hills Rd about 4pm. I was on my motorbike - up and down gears, in and out with the clutch. My hand was aching by the time I got home.
18 speed RoadRanger is a barrel of laughs at 7:30 AM heading south on a weekday. People wonder why I preferred a Scania with OptiCruise.

Both CityLink and EastLink accept all Australian e-tags. If you were fined, while your account was active and in credit, I would recommend you follow it up. Although, the "some years ago" thing probably means that would be pointless.

CityLink was the first e-tag toll road in the country, and they made sure that all other toll roads followed in their footsteps. It would not make commercial sense to exclude other tags.

I believe Land Vehicle Spares has closed down. I have not been able to get into contact with them, but my mate who did told me they have shut the wreckers but may start selling new parts online in the future.

I called them the week before last. I did hear very recently that they were closing.
