    Photobucket backflip

So, it took them all this time to realise they made a mistake? But don't wait for an appology although they did sack the CEO, but it much have hurt them big time.

I won"t be going back, I'm about to lash out and upgrade my Flickr account to Pro as I find their platform very good.

Hope Photobucket still go to the wall after the crap they pulled...

Exactly. Staff levels were at 60 during it's heyday, down to 20 when John Corpus took over to 'save' it and return it to profit. 2 years on, they are down to 10 employee and have moved into smaller digs.

Great job by the CEO... Hope he's sweeping streets these days, that's all he's good for and even said he was surprised at the backlash to his new pricing policy and wasn't expecting it - what an out of touch knob...

After that little stunt I deleted all my pics and account and won’t be going back. Technology has moved on so there is no need for them anyway.

    cheers

Correct, but it was free for 14 years, and the jump went from free to $399 a year overnight without any warning, and the CEO said he wasn't expecting any backlash...

I've no problem paying to use a service I like, bit there are limits on what you can increase rates by in one hit without buyer backlash and they got this so wrong it's almost cost them the whole company and may yet.
