Same here, except for the breathing apparatus. Psi, Bhp and mpg.. but I’m old ;-)

When I was selling trucks and plant, no one used kilowatts or Newton Metres. Kilowatts were for light bulbs. Horsepower and ft/lbs were what was understood in regard to engines. Pressure was always PSI and still is to most people I am in contact with. Machinists may use metric machine tools and metric drawings but they still express tolerances in thous.

Wheels and tyre diameter are inches therefore pressure is psi.

Metric is used for everything else.

    Umm not quite.
Most tyres are metric width/ aspect percentage of metric width / imperial wheel fitment .
    Then metric load ratings.

    Nothing really consistent.

I use psi in this country used to use bar in the old country. As a funny aside I knew a carpenter that would use the dual cm/inches on a tape measure so would say things like "2metres and 5 inches"! Whatever lined up on his tape measure.

I'm a grumpy old bloke, so I use psi. A bar is a place for drinking.
I made a joke about a 'metric hour' the other day and the youngun I was with got very confused. Ha!
